HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
This year, I’m so grateful for a lot! I’m so blessed to be able to do the things that I love! My last two birthdays weren’t all that great…but I’m super blessed & happy that I was able to overcome such “trials” and better yet continue on my journey to MARCH FORTH! I love the fact that my birthday is such a powerful statement! Years ago I heard a motivational speaker (I believe it was Les Brown) speaking on a situation about one of his friends dying. The friend told him that no matter what happens to you in life, you keep pushing and march forth! That has always resonated with me and I use that on a daily basis. There will always be challenges in life. It’s how you deal with them that makes you who you are. The things that I have been through in my life up until this point may not have always been easy (or believable! Lol) but through it all, I’ve prayed, I’ve cried, I smiled, I’ve laughed! I made some great friends along the way and some I’ve left behind (THANK GOD!) but the one thing I know for certain is that I’ve developed such a strong relationship with God and He’s helped me push through much adversity! He’s helped me move forward. He’s helped me grow in my faith. He’s showed me who is who. He continues to show me favor! So no matter where you are in life, whatever you’re going through, give it to God, let it go and MARCH FORTH!
On another note: This great city that I was born in, Chicago was incorporated on March 4, 1837! What a cool city to be born in & share a birthday with! The city can be a bit cold at times (not speaking of the weather!) but its still a dope lil place. Chicago has had a lot of tough times, and still continues to have adversities but we continue to MARCH FORTH
